Growth Guarantee Scheme
Government-backed finance, explained in two minutes
The Growth Guarantee Scheme is run by the British Business Bank through accredited lenders. The government guarantees part of the loan to the lender, which can help a lender say yes where it otherwise might not.

The scheme at a glance
- Who it's for
- UK businesses with turnover up to £45m
- How much
- Generally up to £2m. Loans and overdrafts start from £25,001
- What kind
- Term loans, overdrafts, asset finance and invoice finance
- Worth knowing
- The guarantee protects the lender, not you. Your business stays 100% liable, and your home can't be taken as security under the scheme.
How Lending Box helps
- 1Tell us about your business in about 2 minutes, no impact on your credit score.
- 2We check which options might fit and whether a scheme-backed product makes sense.
- 3We introduce you to the right accredited lender and stay with you to completion.
Not every lender offers every product under the scheme. Lending decisions are made by the lender.
